NCAR GRAPHICS on ATM UNIX COMPUTERS
Revised: 4 April 2001
We have several choices of online documents to assist you
with using NCAR graphics here on the atmospheric science machines:
- The entry point
produced by NCAR
that is included with the NCAR Graphics software.
no longer working
As an alternative, try a direct link to
the SCD NCARgraphics web pages. Such as this
entry point
Many of our routines in use are "Low Level Utilities". n.b.Their
documentation is for more recent NCARgraphics versions than we have installed.
Probably, the LLUs are unchanged.
- A primer
produced by UCD people
that gives tips in using our NCAR graphics utilities on UCD
Atmospheric Science computers.
- Where to find our
library of
example programs
showing usage of some routines. (These programs may be used as
templates for your own programs.)
- Images of the
PLCHHQ character set
are reproduced on a separate web page due to the size of the files
needed to display the characters clearly.
(These Math, Greek, Weather symbols don't otherwise display in html.)
- An old (March 1996) postscript file is available of the original
document at:
unixgks.ps
Please note that this postscript file is not updated, unlike the web pages.
- The "old version of this page" used to be found
here. It is what was
included with the NCAR Graphics software.
