File Utilities
xdir provides an easy, windowed interface for FTP using X-windows.
This program is easy to use--run it by typing
xdir &
at the command line. The ampersand causes the program to run
in the background so that other commands can be entered on the command
line without closing xdir. Once running, use the menus/icons to connect
to one or more machines. Drag-and-drop the files between computers/directories
as desired. xdir also works for moving files around on the local
machines.
