Sometimes it falls upon a generation to be great.
You can be that great generation. Let your greatness blossom.

Background

I am currently a Ph.D. student in the Atmospheric Science program, Department of Land, Air and Water Resourses at the University of California, Davis. I have a Master's degree in Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics Engineering from the National Polytechnic Institute of Engineering in Electrotechnology, Electronics, Computer Science, Hydraulics and Telecommunications (ENSEEIHT) in Toulouse, France.

I passed my qualifying examination in June 2006 and officially advanced to candidacy.

You can read my resume to know more about my academic achievements and professional experience.

Research

I am currently working under the direction of Professor Bryan C. Weare on the intraseasonal variability in the atmosphere related to the Madden-Julian Oscillation (MJO) in the Tropics.

Other research interests involve large-scale and wave dynamics, general circulation of the atmosphere (especially the Brewer-Dobson circulation) and stratospheric ozone variability.

The first project I worked on involved employing the Pennsylvania State University/National Center for Atmospheric Research (PSU/NCAR) Mesoscale Model Version 5 V3 (known as MM5) to replicate the MJO using the NCEP/NCAR Reanalysis and the ERA-40 Reanalysis as initial and boundary conditions.

Other interests

I am also interested in Web technologies and Web design.
