The American Meteorological Society is an organization promoting the development and the dissemination of information and education on the atmospheric and related oceanic and hydrologic sciences and the advancement of their professional applications. The AMS provides internships opportunities, scholarships, fellowships and awards as well as career guides and research resources for atmospheric sciences.

UC Davis runs an official and active Local Chapter of the American Meteorological Society called the Atmospheric Aggies. Our Chapter helps bringing together the undergraduate students majoring or minoring in atmospheric science, the graduate students and the faculty members.
