Computer Facilities

The Computing Equipment

computerlab.jpgThe Atmospheric Science group includes a server room with an HPC computing cluster as well as general purpose computing and research-project specific hardware, large memory systems, and storage servers.  They are available for use by students and faculty in the program. The systems generally share a common software environment with custom compiled discipline-specific software and are used to run models and for post-processing, analysis, and archival of model output and other data. Further, the college provides a larger HPC Cluster built to support faculty across the campus.

In addition to our HPC facilities there is a computer lab in Hoagland Hall 124.

The administrative support for these systems is handled by Metro IT.  Please contact metroit@ucdavis.edu with any questions.
